Description

Musculoskeletal disorders are the largest category of workplace injuries in the United States. This panel discussion will highlight the importance of investigating risk factors and knowledge gaps related to the prevention of MSDs. First, National Safety Council researchers will discuss the outcome of their scoping review on MSDs in identifying the challenges for research, innovation and collaboration – as well as the building of unique work-related datasets for injury analysis and an index for tracking performance. Then, practitioners will share their view of the importance of translational research as well as research-to-practice challenges and opportunities surrounding MSDs.
