We’re constantly assaulted by numerous forms of stress in the workplace. The ability to make decisions and function under such conditions can affect both the safety of co-workers and the level of medical expenses incurred. This session is based on lessons learned from many years of managing fires and emergencies with the New York City Fire Department. The stress-managing techniques used on the fire ground can be used by everyone to improve their ability to behave safely and confidently in their jobs. Learn how the command bubble, the size-up process and other fire service concepts can help you function and refocus, allowing you to turn disabling fear into positive action in any crisis situation.
