Perception and Communication: The Keys to Leadership

Description

What would your company or facility look like if you had influence on all areas of the business and your opinion was sought on all decisions – not just those that are related to safety? If your current role doesn’t allow you this level of influence, change is needed, but what needs to change? In this session, we’ll discuss perception (how you’re perceived by your colleagues and employees), empowerment (five types of power and the proper use and potential abuse of it), and communication (creating the perception of you as created by you). You’ll learn how perception defines reality, how different people perceive the same individual differently, and the communication skills needed to influence perception.
