Q. When can I register to attend the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo?
|

|
A. Online Registration will be open Wednesday, April 1, 2009. You will be able to register for, and add to your existing registration, educational offerings (i.e. Technical Sessions, Professional Development Seminars* and Technical Tours*) beginning May 4, 2009.
*Professional Development Seminars (PDS) and Technical Tours require separate fees that DO NOT include access to the Keynotes, Technical Sessions or Expo Floor.

A. To determine your member status with the National Safety Council, please contact NSC Customer Relations at 800.621.7619 or customerservice@nsc.org.
If you register as a non-member and discover that you or your organization is in fact a member of the National Safety Council, you may request a price adjustment within 30 days of your initial registration. Requests will only be approved if written request is received at congressrefunds@nsc.org. A valid member ID must be included in the written request and will be verified before the requested adjustment is approved.

Q. How can I receive a FREE six-month National Safety Council trial membership?
|
|
|
A. All non-members that register for Full Congress qualify to receive a FREE six-month National Safety Council trial membership. Shortly after a non-member registers for Full Congress, an NSC representative will contact them to discuss the benefits and conditions of the NSC trial membership.
PLEASE NOTE: This offer is only valid for non-NSC members and is not applicable for current NSC members.

Q. Can I bring a spouse or guest?
|
|
|
A. Yes. A spouse or guest is defined as a non-safety professional accompanying a full paying registrant. The spouse or guest must register simultaneously with the full paying safety professional. The $50.00 Spouse/Guest registration fee includes access to the Opening Session, Welcome Reception and Expo Floor.

Q. What are Technical Tours and where will they be held?
|
|
|
A. Technical Tours provide an opportunity to visit and experience first-hand the safety initiatives of some of Orlando's most famous attractions.
Technical Tours are only available to registrants of the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo and do require a nominal registration fee.
Early registration is recommended as Technical Tours are capacity controlled and historically sell out very quickly. Registration for Technical Tours will open on Monday, May 4, 2009.

A. Yes, depending on how you register for the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo, a confirmation will sent to you one of three ways.
ONLINE REGISTRATIONS If you register online, a confirmation will immediately be sent to your email address.
FAX OR MAIL REGISTRATIONS If you register by fax or mail, a confirmation will be emailed to you within five business days. If no email address is provided, a confirmation will be faxed to you within five business days. If neither an email address nor a fax number is provided, a confirmation will be mailed to you, via the U.S. Postal Service, within five business days.

Q. Will I receive my badge before the show?
|
|
|
A. Beginning September 14, 2009, badges will be mailed only to the pre-registered U.S. Attendees who have selected to receive their badges in the mail. Pre-registered U.S. Attendees who select to "Go Green" can pick up their badge at the onsite registration counters using the bar-coded registration confirmation.
After October 2, 2009, online registrations will still be accepted, however, all badges must be picked up onsite.
PLEASE NOTE: All pre-registered international (including Mexico and Canada) Attendee badges will not be mailed. All international badges must be picked up at the onsite registration counters using the bar-coded registration confirmation.

A. The National Safety Council is a not-for-profit, 501 (C)(3) organization. Therefore, according to IRS regulations, since no goods or services will provided in exchange for the donation, the donations to the NSC Friends of Safety Campaign are tax deductible.

A. Not all of the National Safety Council programs are self-sustaining and, therefore, need financial support. Your generous donations to the NSC Friends of Safety Campaign will help keep more Americans safe through greater education and awareness of safe practices at work, at home and on the road.

A. All substitutions must be received by Friday, September 25, 2009. Any changes after Friday, September 25, 2009, must be made at the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo onsite registration counter.

Q. I lost my badge. Can I get a replacement badge?
|
|
|
A. Badges can only be reproduced at the onsite registration counter for a $50.00 processing fee. Before a replacement badge is provided, the registration counter representative will need to see a photo ID and verify that the original badge was not already used.

Q. What is the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo registration cancellation/refund policy?
|
|
|
A. Cancellations received in writing on or before Friday, September 25, 2009 will be refunded less a $50.00 service fee per registrant.
Cancellations received after Friday, September 25, 2009 and "no shows" are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for Expo Only registrations, Spouse/Guest registrations or donations made to the National Safety Council Friends of Safety Campaign.
All cancellation requests should be sent via one of the following methods:
